1a. Melee Attacks:
Whoever gets more successes in a Daring + Security task successfully attacks.

1b. Ranged Attacks:
Roll Control + Security (Diff: 2).
- Increase difficult by one if you already have an enemy at reach distance of you.
- Complication range increases by 1 if there are other creatures within reach of your target (You risk hitting them instead).

2. Damage:
Roll an amount of challenge dices equal to the weapon + your security rating. The total rolled is the amount of damage inflicted.

3. Resistance/Cover:
The target rolls challenge dices equal to its resistance (from armor, talent or cover) to reduce the amount of incoming damage.

4. Any left over damage goes into stress.

5. Injury:
- If the target suffers more than 5 stress from a single attack, the character is Injured.
- If the target is brought down to 0 stress, it suffers an injury.
- If the target already had 0 stress, it suffers an injury.

Lethal, non-lethal and dead.
- Gaining an injury while already suffering from a non-lethal one immediately grant a lethal injury.
- Gaining an injury while already suffering from a lethal one will kill the character.

Effects:
When rolling an effect in a challenge dice counts as dealing one damage + it triggers one of the following effect based on the weapon.

Area: For each effect triggered damage one extra creature starting with the ones closest to the target (storyteller's discretion).
Intense: The cost of avoiding an injury (see momentum) increases by one per effect rolled.
Knockdown: The target is knocked prone, this may be avoided by increasing threat in a rate of one per effect rolled.
Piercing X: Ignore X points of resistance for each effect rolled.
Vicious: Inflict X amount of extra damage per effect rolled.

Being injured means you can no longer take actions and are incapacitated in some way.

Weapon Qualities
Depending on the weapon used, they may have certain intrinsic capacities or qualities that affects the way they are used.

Accurate: An accurate weapon allows any number of D20 to be rerolled when using the aiming minor action instead of the usual single die.
Charge: The weapon had multiple settings. With a Prepare minor action the character can activate one of the following damage effect to future attacks made by this weapons Area, Intense, Piercing 2 or vicious 1
Cumbersome: The weapon is unwieldy or complicated and cannot used unless a prepare minor action was used on the same turn to set it up.
Deadly: When attempting to use this weapon in a non-lethal capacity, increase the difficulty by one.
Debilitating: Increases the difficulty by 1 to perform first aid on characters injured by this weapon or to heal injuries caused by this weapon.
Hidden X: If hidden via a minor action it, this weapon increased the difficulty of Insight+Security or Reason+Security rolls to find it by a value of X.
Inaccurate: Gains no benefit from the aim minor action.
Non-Lethal: Increase the difficulty of lethal attacks made by this weapon.
